The fifth Business Incubator selection meeting completed

This weekend became hot workday for Kazan IT-Park. Here was fifth Business Incubator selection meeting, final in this year.

50 applications were applied, so it was the most numerous selection on the number of applications. But experts allowed for the final presentation only 23 projects.

The expert committee included Svetlana Nikiforova, chief financial officer of iTechCapital Demid Kuznetsov, expert of the venture capital fund Softline Venture Partners Anton Beloussov.

Fifth selection meeting gathered participants from different Russian regions (Omsk, Moscow, Astrakhan, Perm) and foreign countries (Ukraine). Four projects were presented to experts by skype. DisplAir project few days ago got a Skolkovo participant certificate and won Zvorykin Award in nomination for "The best Innovative Product".

Presentation kept going for 4 hours, after that experts summarized.

As a result, five projects have received the status of a resident of the business incubator:

2. Magazinga
3. 123 apps
4. Open loyal platform
5. StapMark

Six projects have got the status of remote residents:

1. adCapcha
2. Go-System
3. DisplAir
4. Searching for donors via Vkontake
5. 3Did
6. GLONASS/GPS

Managing partner of Startobaza Svetlana Nikiforova took a part in fifth selection meeting as an expert. She told that experts discussed the projects a lot. Experts were admired by project for donors searching via Vkontakte. The project had small budget and simple in realization, but had the purpose to help in donors searching unselfishly.

Unfortunately, a lot of projects that were presented weren’t fully researched. Some of them hadn’t precise business-model or product development strategy.

Now Business Incubator is fully occupied. But in the beginning of the next year some residents, that become successful, will leave the incubator to free up the new projects.
